INFANT AND TODDLER PROGRAM
The Presidio Early Education School is one of the San Francisco Unified School District’s 37 early childhood education centers. We are unique in many ways. We are the only center serving infants and toddlers in addition to preschool and school-aged children. Our infant program serves children starting at the age of three months. Our toddler program serves children starting at the age of 30 months. Our school uses the Reggio Emilia approach to student learning, which focuses on the interests of the children with the teacher as a guide in exploration and development.
Music and movement
Family Council is proud to fund the Music and Movement Program at Presidio EES. In the 2013-2014 school year, the Family Council went through an extensive evaluation process, reviewed four providers, and selected JAMaRoo Kids. We are proud to share that JAMaRoo will continue for the 2016-2017 school year. Classes will start in September and are held on Mondays and Fridays. Family Council funds the program which costs a total of $15,000 for all classrooms to participate. Your donations to family council and participation in fundraising events throughout the year help to keep this beloved tradition a part of our community.
As a part of our inclusive community, Presidio Early Education School is proud that Room 2 is a classroom dedicated to toddlers who are deaf and hard of hearing. Some of the children continue through our preschool programs.
